Vintage Ink Rum Barrel Chardonnay
A medium-bodied white that begins with crisp green apple notes and continues into notes of citrus with a creamy finish of butterscotch and hints of vanilla with oak.
Carefully selected Chardonnay grapes were picked at optimal ripeness, from vineyards throughout the Niagara Peninsula. Gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures under oak contact with a specially selected yeast. The wine went though complete malolactic fermentation while being aged on lees.
Food Pairing Notes
Excellent with toasted polenta with Brie and sautéed mushrooms. Also, pairs well with shrimp or chicken dishes in a creamy sauce.

This is a well balanced complex Chardonnay. Starting with green fruits such as apple and pear moving to butterscotch and vanilla. The rum barrel then shines as it lingers on the palate to give you a unique finish for a Chardonnay. Oaking is not over powering but balance so people who prefer an unoaked Chardonnay will like this.
