Kew Old Vine Chardonnay 2020

Sorry, sold out
Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
On the nose this Chardonnay expresses notes of citrus and stone fruit. Notes of
baked apple and candied orange peel dominate on the plate, fresh minerality can
be found layered underneath notes of ripe pineapple giving away to a buttery
finish with notes of vanilla and hints of oak spice and clove. With the age of these
chardonnay vines, we notice a much more pronounced minerality note, keeping
this wine clean and structured. Never formulaic, our winemaker always lets the
fruit dictate the oaking practices, which leaves us with beautifully balanced
Chardonnay’s every vintage.
Food Pairing Notes
This Chardonnay pairs well with chicken or fish in a creamy sauce, or
caramelized roasted vegetables. We love pairing this wine with pasta in a brown
butter sauce, or a creamy butternut squash soup. For a more casual approach, try
buttered popcorn.
