Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A lovely deep burgundy colour with a blackish centre, this Jordanne Village fairly ‘pops’ out of the
glass with its deep mulberry/raspberry perfumes, scented pink blossoms, a subtle nuance of black
cherries, wild thyme, black raspberries and tarred underbrush… Tight red chalky iron beetroot
flavours follow through and develop in the mouth - lovely, drinkable now with beautiful volume and
a pure mouthfeel – tannins seem to be softening, but don’t be fooled… the chalky chewiness of this
wine points towards a decade of betterment! The Raspberry red and black fruit has great balance,
a pleasant austerity and chalky minerality – drinking well now, but give it a few years and watch what
happens!
