Vineyard Notes
The 2024 vintage began with vines in peak condition, with a mild winter setting the stage for an early and promising start to the growing season.
A warmer-than-usual spring accelerated bud development, but an April
frost tested vineyards across the Peninsula. Summer brought warmth
and balance, with above-average temperatures and well-timed rainfall
keeping the vines thriving. September and October delivered near-perfect
conditions, with warm days and cool nights allowing for exceptional
ripening. Brief rain showers were never a problem, and all varieties
benefited—especially the reds, which reached outstanding maturity and
depth of flavor. As the cycle closed, the vines returned to dormancy in
pristine condition, setting the foundation for another remarkable vintage.
Production Notes
Grapes for this single varietal Rose were picked from a select vineyard in the Niagara peninsula. After arriving at the winery the grapes were given a short skin contact time after destemming and crushing. The must was then pressed and cold settled for 48 hours at which time it was inoculated and fermented at a cool temperature of 15 C for 17 days leaving a small amount of residual sugar to balance the lively acidity.
Winemaker Notes
This single varietal rose has aromatics of bright red fruits and rhubarb.
Lovely jammy notes and candied strawberries on the pallet, with a touch
of sweetness blend into a crisp finish. This dry style of rose is a masterful
match for almost any dish, even a juice burger makes a great pairing.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs with angle hair pasta with a smoked salmon or smoked chicken with
your favourite light sauce. Smoked chicken and fresh garden salad.

We loved this great Rosé cab franc Reserve. We had a bottle on the beautiful grounds of the Winery in Niagara On the Lake this week. Great place, awesome service and super kid friendly staff!
