Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes – traditionally used to craft red wines – this wine will make you crave a hot patio day to pair with it! Meticulously managed vineyards and innovative winemaking techniques were honed to craft this elegant & lively white wine.

A unique, refreshing white wine, sourced from Seeger Vineyard on the Niagara River and is the true expression of our eastern home on Niagara-on-the-lake and the creativity of our winemaker Nick Gizuk, and his passion for Cabernet Franc.

Packing a zesty & juicy punch – this wine is jam packed with fresh citrus – think orange peel and grapefruit - with a long round and balanced finish that hints at creamy raspberry – with the perfect amount of acidity.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 2019 harvest was predictably late in getting underway, starting September 6th. The sunny, cool weather and low humidity that kicked off harvest allowed the fruit to develop phenolic ripeness for an extended period without breaking down. There was an unusual and early cold snap in mid-November, along with close to 30 cm of snow on November 11th. Growers were confronted with some challenges as they navigated machinery through snowy vineyards, but prevailed successfully and wrapped up harvest on November 26th.
Production Notes
Grapes for this single varietal Rose were picked from a select vineyard in the Niagara peninsula. After arriving at the winery the grapes were given a short skin contact time after destemming and crushing. The must was then pressed and cold settled for 48 hours at which time it was inoculated and fermented at a cool temperature of 15 C for 17 days leaving a small amount of residual sugar to balance the lively acidity.
Winemaker Notes
Aromatics of Strawberry and Rhubarb compliment the touch of sweetness, with a crisp and lively finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with grilled ham and Gruyere sandwich, also with Rosemary flatbread with prosciutto.
