Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This Icewine is overflowing with ripe peach and apricot on the nose, combined with delicious overtones of marmalade and candied brown sugar. Perfect on its own as a dessert; an excellent match to fresh fruit, rich paté, or fine blue veined and cream based cheeses.
Production Notes
This unique Canadian product was harvested at the height of Canada’s crisp winter. Naturally frozen on the vine and then picked when the temperature drops to a frigid -10C. Only a small amount of concentrated nectar can be squeezed from each bunch. The juice is then slowly fermented at an average temperature of 15 C to achieve a rich, specialty wine know as Icewine.
Winemaker Notes
This popular Inniskillin Icewine boasts a variety of tropical fruit including orange , mango, and lemons. Flavours of peach and apricot are balanced by a fresh crisp lively acidity.
Food Pairing Notes
Think texture not just sweetness! Perfect on its own; a variety of cheeses (blue veined, aged cheddar, rich cream cheeses with dried fruits); seared scallops; lobster; rich pates; fruit based desserts.

My bottle Inniskillin Vidal 2002 was ended up today. But still excellent, sweet and smooth. Purchased on a travel to Niagara falls a long time ago.

Bought this 2yrs ago vsiting Niagara Falls as gifts to friends and just found one bottle left. Opened tonight. What a lovely surprise, very nice indeed. The icewine is sweet with full body. Taste very smooth and delicious. Wished I had tasted it at the time of purchase and would have loved to buy more and in bigger bottles too had I not need to stop over in the States enroute back to London. Definitely a must try for anyone who likes dessert wine or port. Need to find if there's a stockist in London now.
