Wine Profile
Tasting Notes

This vintage is concentrated and complex, with citrus and tropical fruit, peach and wet stone aromas and flavours. The palate exhibits a crisp balance of delicate sweetness and acidity with depth provided by the minerality and rich texture. The extended finish is clean and balanced.

Vineyard Notes
The 2019 harvest was predictably late in getting underway, starting September 6th. The sunny, cool weather and low humidity that kicked off harvest allowed the fruit to develop phenolic ripeness for an extended period without breaking down. There was an unusual and early cold snap in mid-November, along with close to 30 cm of snow on November 11th. Growers were confronted with some challenges as they navigated machinery through snowy vineyards, but prevailed successfully and wrapped up harvest on November 26th.
Production Notes
Grapes for this Reserve wine came from select vineyards in the Niagara region. After harvesting, the grapes were immediately processed at the winery where the juice was allowed to cold settle for 48hrs before racking off clean. Fermented at a cool 15 C for 16 days a small amount of residual sugar was left to balance the crisp acidity.
Winemaker Notes
Our reserve Riesling displays citrus and floral aromas with crisp acidity and a touch of sweetness balancing the palate. Enjoy the fresh flavours of lemon-lime, white peach and green apple.
Food Pairing Notes
Seared white fish with citrus parsley butter; Spinach salad with aged cheddar and walnuts; Whole roasted chicken with thyme & grilled lemon; Heirloom tomatoes and feta salad with fresh herbs.
