Inniskillin 2013 Reserve Series Viognier
The grapes for this wine came from our own Brae Burn Vineyard. Extreme care was used for this delicate grape: the grapes were hand harvested after extended hang-time; fermentation occurred slowly at a cool temperature; the wines were aged in French oak for a mere 3 months to enhance its seductive bouquet. The Reserve Viognier displays citrus and clove on the nose. On the palate notes of tropical fruit including lemon and orange complement the clean, crisp finish. Try this wine with roasted mushroom soup; grilled eggplant and zucchini ratatouille; hot smoked salmon with tarragon butter; “old school” cloved ham with pineapple; roasted rosemary and citrus chicken; chèvre tart with fine herbs.
